This post may seem a bit sloppy and hasty and slapdash for Vleeptron, which is renowned throughout c-space for high, distinguished and thoughtful standards.
But we're in a bit of a hurry.
In a few hours, Oslo will rise and shine, and the Norwegian Nobel Committee will announce this year's recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Vleeptron is hoping the Committee will award the Peace Prize to Malala Yousafzai, a 16-year-old Pakistani who has captured the world's attention and admiration for her courageous advocacy of education for girls.
That would almost certainly make her the youngest recipient of the Peace Prize, which has been awarded each year since 1901 (with a few skipped years in which the Committee couldn't find enough Peace to merit awarding the prize).
Okay, so Vleeptron has been late and busy and slow, so this post, and the image at top, are probably filled with horrible errors and mistakes and ignorances.
We're trying to present Malala Yousafzai's name in her native language, Pashto, along with some (filched) school-kid Pashto vocabulary words.
But Malala Yousafzai first achieved fame blogging for the BBC in Urdu about her childhood experiences during war and violence in the Swat region of Pakistan.
So Vleeptron will be most grateful if anyone who actually knows (or has opinions) about this stuff is kind enough to Leave A Comment about Pashto, Urdu, Swat, Pakistan, childhood education -- and of course about Malala Yousafzai (who currently lives in Birmingham, England UK).
But despite Vleeptron's abysmal ignorance about all these things, we're still hoping the Prize goes to Malala Yousafzai.
We think that would be a tremendously good thing for Earth, for Peace, for children, for everybody's future.
